Aquarelle is a city and touring bike built for a watercolor artist in Boston. It has a relaxed, step-through frame geometry, and relatively generous stay clearance for Soma New Xpress 650B x 38 terracotta tires from
Rivendell. The frame construction features bilaminar joints with hand-carved scrolling at the head and seat tube clusters. Drivetrain is Campagnolo Veloce, reduced to 9sp cassette for clearance, with IRD Silver SOS power ratchet Thumb shifters (also from
Rivendell. These are so smooth they make the shifting feel almost like it's indexed.
